Kate will be the moderator and one of three speakers at the Ojai Writers Conference during an afternoon session from 3pm-4pm:
    • SELF-PUBLISHING – A Panel Discussion. Gain insights from the world of self-publishing from those who have been in the trenches and tasted of its sweet rewards. Panelists: Carrie Triffet, author of Long Time No See, marketing consultant, and 2010 winner of the Independent Publisher Humor Award; Patricia Fry, author of 30+ books, literary marketing expert, and Executive Director of Small Publishers, Artists & Writers (SPAWN); and Kate Sexton (also moderator), author of Awakening the Essence: Book One of the Siren Chronicles, marketing expert and producer of the recent Ventura Book Festival sponsored by California Literary Arts Society.

Kate Sexton will be hosting an evening titled Well Red during Ojai WordFest, where authors with new books will be read selections.  Kate will be talking about Awakening the Essence and reading one of her poems recently published in Windows, an anthology of short stories and poems published every two years.
